Bay of Isles Community Outreach Inc. (BOICO) is a Non-Government, Not for Profit organisation providing Non Clinical Mental Health Outreach Services in the South East Goldfields Region since 1997.

The purpose of BOICO is to exist as a unique, recovery focused community agency, providing community mental health support services, and advocating for people in rural and remote Western Australia who are affected by mental illness.

Centre Care Esperance

Offers extensive outreach and specialised counselling services:

Family and domestic violence counselling is available in Esperance.

Rural and Regional Family Support Service (RRFSS) – This program is designed to provide outreach services in remote locations by way of individual, couple and family counselling in addition to crisis support and community development.

The aim of this program is to increase access and provide timely support through a range of integrated services to at-risk families, promoting a safe environment for children and overall family functioning.

Centre Care Esperance

Family and Carer Support – This program provides a community based Education/Information and Skill Development service for carers and families of people with serious and persistent mental health issues. We also run a series of diversion activities for the carers supplementing their respite

Centrecare Esperance

Victim Support Services (VSS) and Child Witness Services (CWS) – These services provide direct provision of non-evidentiary preparation of child complainants and child witnesses to give evidence in court. This includes providing support for the child and their family, the identification of an appropriate support person for the child, and liaison with Court Appointed Officer regarding the special needs of the child witness.

Also provided is information on criminal justice processes, trauma counselling, court preparation and companionship, advocacy, referral, criminal injuries compensation information and assistance with Victim Impact Statements.

Escare Incorporated is a non-profit community organisation that develops and delivers practical assistance through services that are relevant to the people of Esperance, Western Australia. Escare offers assistance to families and individuals who need Financial Counselling, information and referral, advocacy, NILS loans, skills development by holding or hosting workshops, Outside School Hours Care, Youth services,  ongoing family support by way of Mytime group as well as the One and All inclusion project.

Individual Consultations; Face to face support is offered that may be able to assist individuals and families reach identified goals.  This form of consultaion will support the development of confidence and skills by identifying and building upon strengths, knowledge and accessing relevant resources and natural supports in the community. Access to individual consultation is via self referral or via referrals from external agencies

Esperance Community Mental Health Service

Community Mental Health Esperance is part of the Goldfields SE region under WACHS. Mental Health services are provided for people of all ages within the Shires of Esperance, Raventhorpe and Dundas, with an identifiable mental health problems, which is affecting their ability to function in everyday living.

These include: anxiety, Depression, Suicidal thoughts, attempts at Suicide, Eating Disorders, Acute transient psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, substance abuse.

Community based mental health services in the country areas have clinics and centres that have professional staff including psychiatrists, social workers, mental health nurses, clinical psychologists and occupational therapists to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and ongoing support
